Hello friends!
With the coming of the new year, I’ve had to shift some priorities and refocus on building my technology consulting business. I thought this website would be a good avenue to create some new business opportunities, and in a small way, it was. But when I look at the time, energy, and expense that goes into maintaining a site like this, I have to conclude that it’s simply not worthwhile. I thought it might grow into a popular destination for many in, around, and from Beaver County, but I think it just doesn’t have the potential to become what I need it to be. The visitor numbers were pretty good for a website just 6 months into its life, but the kind of numbers I need to sustain it just aren’t in the cards.
My deepest appreciation to all of you who visited and participated. It’s heartwarming to know that this site meant so much to so many! I’ll leave it up for a while so that folks can visit and remember some of their favorite places. New visitors can test their knowledge by scrolling down the pages, stopping short of the answer so that they can try to figure it out. Have fun!
Here’s wishing you all the best of the New Year! May your lives be filled with Life and Love, and may you always remember that "you are never lost in life, you are only visiting somewhere you’ve never been before!" Give it all you’ve got, enjoy the ride, and keep grinning (it will keep them wondering what you’re up to!)
This marks the end of week 26 for LostinBeaverCounty.com… 6 months! We are pleased with the success of the website. It’s been a fun project for our guests, and an affordable way of advertising for our sponsors. In those 6 months, we’ve seen more than 16,500 unique visitors, producing over 29,000 page loads. That’s a lot of traffic for a local site! But, the time has come to take some time off. We need to rest, regroup, and take a bunch more pictures! Please check back now and then to catch our new beginning, and play with us again! We hope to "see" you again in a couple weeks.
